We are looking for an Engineering Director who will the responsible for world-class group of software developers and QA Engineers in a highly productive fast-paced hyper-growth environment. She/He will own the design and development of mobile and web applications as well as AWS cloud-based services for a leading Fintech company. She/he will contribute to technology direction and architectural vision for always-on business critical systems processing payments and providing merchant services in an extremely secure and standards-compliant environment. She/He will mentor team leads and individual contributors in planning and estimation and high quality product delivery to meet aggressive schedules, as well as work extensively with Operations and Product organizations to define and deliver on business and customer needs.

B.S. in CS, EE, IT or related field

8+ years in a technical role as Engineer or related position

8+ years Leadership of Software Engineering/development teams

1. Very strong knowledge and experience with modern software development processes, technologies, and approaches.
2. Experience using metrics and data to manage effectively; establishing baselines, measuring effectively, identifying opportunities for improvement, implementing continuous improvement strategies
3. Strong understanding of cloud-based and serverless/lambda-based systems and architectures, message/event based systems, mobile applications and PWAs as well as modern web applications
4. Experience leading cloud-based DevOps processes and infrastructure teams Working knowledge of Machine Learning principles, technologies, and their application
5. Exceptional communication skills and ability to build understanding and foster/drive cross-functional cooperation and relationships Demonstrated track record of recruiting, building, and leading world-class technical team

1. Strong experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment systems
2. Ability to adapt effectively and positively in a flexible environment with changing priorities and plans Penchant for data-driven analysis and decision making
3. Experience with payments, Fintech, and Latin American markets is a strong plus
4. Successful candidate will have exceptional communication and presentation skills to explain complex concepts effectively, present compelling arguments, and work effectively across organizational boundaries
5. English fluency required; Spanish fluency is a strong plus
